US plans to label goods from Jewish settlements in occupied West Bank ft.com/content/f0df1d…
@MairavZ @Sanders4Health This isn't being done out of human decency, or it would've happened before Oct 7th. This is being used as a tool to lessen the burden and excuse continued US military aid to Israel in an election year.
@MairavZ You can use the NO THANKS app to scan every item's barcode with your camera and it'll tell you if an item is Israeli. It even has an instant option to add to the boycott list if you scan something. I just discovered Lipton is on the ban list, so no more for me.
@MairavZ Good development. From @FT Note: @theipaper @paulwaugh @guardiannews @PippaCrerar @johnestevens @mrjamesob Now, what is our Govt and other parties going to do about this? cc @David_Cameron @FCDOGovUK @DavidLammy @Keir_Starmer @LaylaMoran @EmilyThornberry @StephenFlynnSNP
@MairavZ What good are produced in the settlements? They're building houses, not factories, wtf?
@MairavZ “Made in Israel” should suffice for anyone to avoid the product like the plague
