I miss the original Neverwinter Nights. Getting to make your own realms and scenarios was such a beautiful experience and it was so far ahead of its time. Neverwinter is how I got into modding and understanding, at bare minimum, how games work. I was 9-10? When I figured it out? One of the top modders at the time actually taught me, and I’m forever grateful he took the time to do so. He’ll never know how much of a pivotal role he played in shaping my interests today.
@MadamSavvy What's your take on NWN2? I bought the complete edition years after it came out, but was very disappointed with the main campaign. It felt very stereotypical or trying to subvert expectations in weird ways. NWN1 was much better from what I heard.
@MadamSavvy A MAN taught you something? God forbid! The wokies aren’t going to be happy about that. You should have been born perfect and fully capable like all of them. 😂
@MadamSavvy LOL you were 9 then? I feel old. 😅 I still occasionally play it today. It's certainly aged but it's quite atmospheric. I prefer its campaign over the sequel, but I prefer NWN2's mechanics and mods. 🤔 There's even this BG1 campaign mod for NWN2!
@MadamSavvy that as a really good game, I got into gaming because of Wizardry the original one lol
@MadamSavvy I loved that game too. I made a realistic superpower system in it, from all abilities getting stronger as you levelled to unique abilities… And then EA bought BioWare!
@MadamSavvy I still need to play those. I love me the OG Baldur's Gate.
@MadamSavvy Wait. You were 9? I am NOT OLD. Either way, I fondly remember running a Persistent World with some fellow GMs back in those days for well over a year. So much fun.
