It was just the small annoying things that could have been rectified. The use of uyihlo/uyise/unina/unyoko. First person and third person. And Qula kwedini the song was totally misplaced. Essie was washing the dead body of Jonasi. Kuqulwa ntoni emortuary? @SbuMpungose those small editorial stuff?

A good production invokes something in me. The creative team understood the assignment. The visual contrast at every point was magical. Beautiful to watch. It came out in how powerfully they dressed Joyce and in how cheap Matipa’s wigs and makeup were. Watch how they gradually transformed Essie’s dress sense immediately after that powerful sex scene with Jonasi embhekise iinpundu phezulu. After that kind of sex with the love of your life you know you can’t have, a woman’s step changes. Uyaziphuthuma because you feel satisfied. Even if it is for once and you hold on to that feeling. How she chose bullshit instead of nothing at all. Check how they introduced young Jonasi and young Essie to us. That visual contrast was top class. Check the houses of the women. Mpume and Sarah. Let’s listen carefully to Mpume’s speech during her father’s funeral. How they continued this creative contrast through the descriptions she gave of the women in her father’s life. A good production can be messed up by very minor slip ups that are highly annoying. The use of unyoko/unina/uyihlo/uyise. Misplacing Qula Kwedini, the song. They used it when Essie was washing Jonasi’s dead body. Kuqulwa ntoni emortuary? But the production team understood the assignment. The storyline is triggering.
