If you ever get lost in the Milky Way galaxy, this is your map to get back to EARTH. Credit: @budassiuniverse
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse Well that is useful - so with present day technology I would have to live 100,000 lives over and over again to travel 1 mm on this map 🤣
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse Scientists can figure all this out but cannot figure out difference between males and females? Asking for a friend.
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse Might actually need this one day 🤔
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse I can see my house
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse That's not very helpful. The distance to even our nearest star is 4 light years. Human lifespan is much too short to reach any meaningful destination in the Milky Way galaxy. Humans don't even live long enough to get lost. 🤣
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse Might go grab a cold one in the zone of avoidance.
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse @ukkari2017 Fumiyuki San, incase, hypothetically, you got lost in the Milky way, a map to find your way home 🫠🤭
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse Good luck. Only 200 billion stars.
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse I don’t believe the Milky Way galaxy looks like this. It’s not only not bright enough but there is not a bright middle like we observe in other galaxies. Also, why can we observe other galaxies clearly but it’s difficult to view our own. Doenst make sense.
@MAstronomers @budassiuniverse Fear not! You’ll never get out of earth orbit. Btw… nothing ever has or will.
