Almost a year since I graduated Full Sail University, and honestly, I don’t have much to show. My hard drive crashed..not the best excuse, but it’s the one I’ve got. Full Sail’s support is great when I answer my phone…so I’m just starting my own game and rebuilding my portfolio.
I’m by no means an expert at UI design, but I’d love to give it a try! Today, I quickly threw this together, drawing inspiration from Pokémon Emerald and Animal Crossing. I’m planning to try recreating it in Unreal for fun. What do you all think?
This chibi grass turned out to be a lot harder than I expected... I think I’ve got the grass modeled correctly now; I just need to import it into unreal.
I really wanna try getting some nice grass working with my UI—I think it would help me get a better idea of where I'm going. I’m going for a chunky, chibi-style look for the grass blades because I love that cutesy vibe!

I gave making a simple UI a shot! Personally, I think it turned out okay—maybe the colors are a bit too muted, but I still like it. What do you all think? I used Canva, and while I enjoy it, it’s a shame they charge extra for the transparency feature.
Is Anyone familiar with the enhanced input system in UE5? My mouse was inverted on the y-axis, so I multiplied it by negative 1 to get the correct directions. Am I missing something simple, or is this the proper way to set up mouse movement?
Day two of re-teaching myself blender 3D. I was planning on making a few trees for the house I made yesterday and try to build out a scene, but I couldn't figure out the best way to UV unwrap my tree :(.
