The difference is clear. In Tony’s case, nobody is calling for the officer’s release. Floyd’s case, however, was different. Racists and white supremacists argued that the officer was innocent and that George Floyd died from drugs rather than from the officer’s excessive use of force. Even Charlie Kirk argued that Floyd died from drugs and called for the officer’s release, relying on a later medical report. They allowed a medical report—just as they do with the crime statistics they frequently cite—to outweigh what they watched unfold with their own eyes. It’s not that they don’t know the truth; it’s that they’ve found a way to avoid accountability while continuing to portray themselves as the victims. The difference between Tony’s case and Floyd’s case is clear and obvious.

I never said, or even implied, that the officer handled him that way because of his skin color. My comment was about selective outrage. You were the one who brought up George Floyd; I’m simply responding to your point. The officer’s actual motive can never be known with certainty. We cannot definitively say he had no racist intent, nor can we definitively say that he did. However, racism is the reason why people for the release of the officer, and now they attribute Floyd’s death primarily to drugs. What I’m talking about is the bias, the hypocrisy, the selective outrage and lack of accountability. Would you say that the murderer of Charlie Kirk acted out of racist intent? We don’t know. But only few to no one discuss his case anymore. No one is constantly calling for the quick persecution of Kirk’s murderer, nor did they attribute it to race. If the killer had been Black instead of White, many of the same accounts that are relatively quiet now would have continued demanding the death penalty and repeatedly highlighting the case. So right now many people and blogs such as @EndWokeness continue reposting footage of Iryna’s death despite her family reportedly asking that the videos and photos of the tragedy no longer be shared. My overall point is about selective outrage. I believe people often amplify or ignore cases depending on whether they fit a preferred narrative, rather than applying the same standards consistently.

That’s not the case here. My point is that @EndWokeness would never post content like this—and even if they did, they wouldn’t frame it around race. This is how selective outrage and selective judgments in law enforcement shape crime statistics. It’s consistently selective, yet they insist the stats never lie.
