It’s annoying that we recognize that children need things like a summer break and several vacations a year but we think it makes sense to have adults work for 60 years with maybe 2-3 weeks off a year if you’re lucky
@LolOverruled wait don't we only give kids long breaks because they used to put them to work on the farm in those times?
@LolOverruled I hate to break it to you, the only reason kids get that is because budget cuts. A great example Is kids get an entire week off for Presidents’ Day. Rich/private schools only get one day off. What’s the difference:$$$$!
@LolOverruled You're only that lucky if you have padding between your income and homelessness. Most of us don't have paid days off.
@LolOverruled @NicholeManna Oh you want to be a child your entire life?
@LolOverruled Meanwhile in Europe, six weeks vacation.
@LolOverruled same energy with parks, they’re made for small children, us adults need some fun too 😭
@LolOverruled 2 to 3 weeks? WHAT?! I'm over here thinking even 2 weeks is golden...
@LolOverruled We also accept that children need *unstructured* playtime but nobody has told me when or why that stops.
@LolOverruled My country has nothing between New Years and Easter. Just 4 solid months of work. Not a single day off. More people should be mad about it.
