Greetings from ADI 2024! We are delighted to be joined by three expert speakers, who will provide their unique perspectives on the latest advancements in Alzheimer’s Disease diagnostics and the system level changes required to maximize their potential.
Attending Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) Conference next week? We’re excited to hear from Robert Perneczky, Sebastian Palmqvist and Chris Lynch as they discuss the importance of early detection and diagnosis in Alzheimer’s disease.
#AlzheimersDisease is a neurodegenerative disorder with various subtypes and clinical presentations, defined by neuropathologic changes, including amyloid plaques and tau tangles.¹⁻³ Biomarker testing after clinical assessment can help to inform differential diagnosis of AD.³
Each biomarker provides different and complementary evidence of #AlzheimersDisease (AD) with potential to ensure a timely and accurate diagnosis for patients with mild cognitive symptoms.¹⁻⁵
Fluid biomarkers of amyloid and tau pathology are gaining momentum. In combination with a comprehensive clinical assessment, biomarkers form the pillars for a timely and accurate diagnosis of #AlzheimersDisease.¹⁻³
Historically, the diagnosis of #AlzheimersDisease (AD) focused on clinical symptoms. The evidence in biomarker studies has transformed the disease concept from clinically defined to biologically defined.
A timely and accurate diagnosis of #AlzheimersDisease (AD) associated symptoms provides more time to consider next steps, and the potential to prolong cognitive function and preserve independence. Which patients might benefit from biomarker testing?
