This guy here.A Fellow vet said it perfectly. I couldn’t have stated it better. #guncontrol
@LifeIndiscreet Educate yourself
Up until the Clinton administration Active military members could keep their personal firearms on base in their barracks room, it was Clinton who put an end to it, and it was simply part of his anti-gun agenda. What this guy does not understand is the "Well Regulated" part of the 2a means is "Well equipped with commonly available arms and training" and the idea of the Militia is that it is common people who are capable of equipping themselves. The word "Regulation" as it applies to legal rules is an early 1900's thing, Regulars and Regulated soldiers meant that they had been trained and equipped to a standard, and professional soldiers of the era the constitution was written in were called Regulars. Furthermore not one thing this guy has said would stop one single school shooting, it would however create an authoritarian hellscape with massive government control over our lives.
@LifeIndiscreet God almighty y'all are equal parts cringe and a complete disgrace to the oath.
@LifeIndiscreet Saying a lot of F bombs doesn’t make your argument any less wrong
@LifeIndiscreet The militia should be well regulated, but the 2a doesn't say the rights of the militia shall not be infringed, now does it? In fact it says the rights of the people. It does not grant those rights, it mealy restricts the government from stepping on them.
@LifeIndiscreet Couple things from a retired veteran,,, a. When seconds count, cops are only minutes away and then, may apparently, take an hour or so to get ready to do anything. b. Sic semper tyrannis
@LifeIndiscreet @subliminal_G All of that is true, yes. One major difference though. Marines work for the federal government, therefore, the federal government makes the rules. The People don’t work for the federal government so we make the rules. The bill of rights is a list of can’t dos, not can dos.
