@Sanctuary_Bio @drug_smolecules @drug_smolecules While the story on the mechanism looks convincing the EQ504 doesn't seem to be differentiated from ABX464. Why (if >100x less potent than EQ504) is ABX464 still showing almost identical effects at 50nM? Am I missing something?

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS, indeterminate dendritic cell histiocytosis or other (non-LCH) histiocytic sarcomas cases. I'm trying to understand non-surgical chemo and targeted therapy options, new pathology markers to better diagnose subtypes/treatments, and any data on progression in pediatric patients. @CJHandmer For the first microbes to leave their hydrothermal vent, they already had to be sophisticated. There's no other way. Given the lifetime of those vents that means getting from abiogenesis to sophisticated microbe can happen in only a few million years.

@parmita If you believe in the hydrothermal vent origin, the time available for abiogenesis is ultimately limited by the lifetime of those vents. That may very well be less than a million years. That to me is where it gets really mind-blowing.
