When you move around primarily or exclusively by car, you may not see the evidence of car crashes around you: bent sign posts broken car pieces broken windshield glass tire marks, etc. For those who travel by 🚶🏻, 🚲 & 🚌 these reminders are everywhere on sidewalks & streets.
@LauraGMitchell saw that accident… yesterday morning
@LauraGMitchell The world will be a lot better when computers are driving.
@LauraGMitchell Had a kindergarten student show up to school with pockets full of windshield glass pieces. Picked them up while waiting for the bus because they were pretty. Teachers were shocked and I said "No one cleans up after a car accident so I'm not surprised"...cause they are pretty!
@LauraGMitchell I bike commute in Alaska and in the summer that includes 10 miles on a path along the highway. There is a huge amount debris and car parts left over from the winter of crashes. It is unnerving to think about while riding by.
@LauraGMitchell This is a revealing one… the amount of stuff you physically don’t see when driving is a gigantic list that people just don’t know about! If all our leaders drive, they will literally never see 90% of the world that everyone else does on the sidewalk. A crazy blind spot.
@LauraGMitchell There are hotspots. The middle of the road signs on Bde Maka ska/ lake street/ county road 25 are knocked down every weekend
