I’ve received the “does Coop even lift?!” critique my entire career (13+ years helping people build home gyms.) Here’s my response (this guy didn’t tag me so he may feign it was about someone else, regardless…) I’ve trained hard and consistent since I was 16 y/o. I’ve been able to put up good numbers on the major barbell lifts: 465 lb squat 325 lb bench 518 lb deadlift I’d love to look more ‘jacked.’ But I *obviously* struggle to put muscle on. The easiest path forward is to go on enhancement drugs. I personally don’t care if others are on them and if my quality of life diminishes in the future, I will likely go on them too (starting with TRT, though.) BUT, my quality of life, now, is fantastic. I’m relatively strong. I have a lot of drive. My libido is great. My Wife likes my body. My kids think I’m a superhero. I work very hard in the gym, in my job, and in my home. I serve heavily in my church. I believe I am holistically healthy. The primary benefit for me to put on more muscle through PED’s would be to *attempt to* appease those who are never satisfied. They are not my standard. If I had a better reason to do it, I possibly would. But I haven’t up to this point. I will continue to work on increasing hypertrophy and strength, while sharpening every other area of my life. I will also continue loving my neighbor by helping them build home gyms and giving truthful opinions on gym equipment. This gentleman appears to be jacked and strong. I think that’s awesome.
