I feel for the multiplayer mapmakers. Their maps don't get nearly the same amount of traffic as PvE content does. I've spoken to many of them, and their motivation to make MP content is fading. This needs to change. Custom Edition did it right 20 years ago. #BringHaloModsToCGB
If not enough players are around, then matches become boring and low-quality (unless it's a small map), but having more than 16 players around means there are people sitting out and are unable to enjoy some of the best modded Halo content out there.
As a host, you have to manually gather people in custom games, and pray everyone has the modded maps downloaded. As a player trying to join, for most people, it boils down to awkwardly asking for invites, or waiting a while for a spot to open.

Some fun stats for Halo 3, ODST, and Reach. These stats were posted by Bungie after the handover to 343i on 31st March 2012. People take jabs at Halo 3, claiming only the BR was viable, but it only accounts for 20% of all kills. Yet in Reach, 26% of all kills are the DMR.. 🤔

A few people who are saying that Co-devs don't care about the franchises they work on. Mate, I've been playing Halo for over 20 years. Halo is one of my favourite franchises. Halo 2 is my favourite game of all time. I moved across a continent TWICE to work on Halo.
I saw a video today from one popular #Halo YouTuber and I'm actually seething. Not necessarily by what they said (though I don't agree with them) but by the fact that the truth isn't out there. And probably never will be.
One of the hardest things in #GameDev is seeing the community receive an end product badly, and then making mega inaccurate assumptions about the dev process. But you as a dev know the whole truth and have to bite your tongue.

I think 343i should add H online, H5 and a ODST multiplayer to the MCC…. but download them separately at your own discretion… depending on what gen you have
@LateNightHalo I thought it was a very interesting creative decision to reuse a set from Spy Kids 2 in the Halo show.

seems like the halo archive was scraped by midjourney in the last month. Going to update as I find out more, this whole thing sucks. We did not at any time consent on our members' artwork being used for AI training.

@LateNightHalo @Halo The varient might keep the pull effect as a heads up. Whenever 343 nerf or buff a weapon it tends to be very specific. We will have to see what happens tho.

A few people who are saying that Co-devs don't care about the franchises they work on. Mate, I've been playing Halo for over 20 years. Halo is one of my favourite franchises. Halo 2 is my favourite game of all time. I moved across a continent TWICE to work on Halo.
I saw a video today from one popular #Halo YouTuber and I'm actually seething. Not necessarily by what they said (though I don't agree with them) but by the fact that the truth isn't out there. And probably never will be.
