So, thanks to President Biden’s Infrastructure Bill, remote locations on the Navajo Nation Reservation will be receiving electricity for the first time — ever. Also, water treatment devices are being developed to help the tribe access clean running water. After decades without.
@LakotaMan1 I'm in my 50's and lived near the Navajo Nation most of my life. In all that time, they never had running water or electricity, by design. Time after time they pushed for infrastructure and Utah officials denied them. FOR DECADES white ppl kept the Navajo from having WATER.
@LakotaMan1 Now that they have Electricity, may I suggest they watch the show Shogun. Its really good.
@LakotaMan1 This is way overdue.
@LakotaMan1 Simply amazing that it took this long! Sorry
@LakotaMan1 Northeastern Arizona, northwestern New Mexico, and southeastern Utah, where the Navajo Nation resides, have had electricity since the early 1900s.
