There are so many green spaces in our towns and villages that are over-mown or sprayed, but which could instead be boosting biodiversity and bringing nature back into our lives like this corner of Cambridge. RT if you agree 🐝
@LGSpace Gorgeous. It's a mindset; people have been indoctrinated to think razed to the ground, 'tidy' and lifeless is good, and blooming, teeming with life is bad. The more they see your great posts, the better.
@LGSpace @meredith_john We are trying to get something similar on a roundabout north of Cardiff
@LGSpace We should just #LetItGrow #Insectagddon 64% loss of our insects. No insects no pollination and no crops!

@LGSpace In my village there are too many ‘ townies’ who complain when they see this so it is stripped bare every year. I’m not a local ( have lived there nearly 27 yrs) & wish they would sod off & live a concrete flat so the rest of us can enjoy semi rural life.
What to do? I live in the woods. I try to garden around my house, but am constantly attacked by ticks. Most of my yard is natural, but I grow flowers and a few shrubs close to the house. Searching for natural tick repellants so I can work without being bitten constantly. Won’t use chemicals!
