"If I had to choose between Christianity and Islam, I'd choose Christianity every single time." Self-proclaimed 'cultural Christian', @RichardDawkins, tells @RachelSJohnson he's 'slightly horrified' to hear Ramadan lights were hung on Oxford Street rather than Easter lights.
Dawkins is acting as if St Paul's cathedral is being turned Into a mosque. It's just lights, no need to be "horrified" These lights were put for the Muslim minority in one of the Great modern cities in the world and it also attracts tourists from rich Muslim countries to come and spend their money. Seems like your politicians were right with this move.
@LBC @RichardDawkins @RachelSJohnson Didn't Richard Dawkins destroy Christianity with the 'new atheist movement'?
I think it’s finally dawning on Dawkins that maybe we screwed the pooch with the whole atheism thing. I say this as an atheist myself, but atheism doesn’t inspire great architecture , it doesn’t bring people closer together or build any communities and it is not an effective inoculation against the creeping islamification of our country. In a few more generations - if we carry on as we are, the churches will be pubs and bars and the cathedrals will be mosques.
@LBC @RichardDawkins @RachelSJohnson Like the yummy fruit but not the tree huh
@LBC @RichardDawkins @RachelSJohnson The fact that he had to "choose his words carefully" speaks volumes.
@LBC @RichardDawkins @RachelSJohnson He chooses Christianity because he knows he can defeat it. Zizek was right when he said Christianity creates atheism.
@LBC @RichardDawkins @RachelSJohnson This is something else I didn't have on my 2024 bingo card @ByEzenwanyi @FreedmanJournal & @hoodservative.

@LBC @RichardDawkins @RachelSJohnson I wouldn’t want the world to lose The Pyramids, does that make me culturally an Egyptian?
@LBC @RichardDawkins @RachelSJohnson What a furiously blinkered little man. Used to have a lot of respect for Dawkins, now he's turned into the type of ideologue he used to resent.
