We must quickly halt SUV sales if we are to meet our 2030 targets. This applies to electric SUVs also. In an electricity system that will still burn fossil fuels in 2030, smaller and lighter electric vehicles will generate less CO2 than heavy, large SUVs.

The Government claim they want to make it easier to cycle & walk across England. Yet they imposed sweeping cuts to their own active travel budget. This morning at Transport Committee I questioned the Secretary of State for Transport about these cuts.
