Twitter has become shiny. I don't see much "eating business dirt"-tweets anymore. The struggles. The authenticity. Things have been polished. Everyone seems to be a happy, successful mf now. I hope it‘s real.
@Kmaticu don't worry Kristian. I'm still not successful. Still struggle Still writing reply at 2:30 am my time🥲
Let's fix that: 1. I've been seriously struggling to combine my ph.d. work and running the agency. Eventually (earlier this year) I decided to get out of several very promising (but not yet rewarding) relationships to not lose my mind. 2. This caused me to eventually pivot the company from dev + design to just design (simpler to manage and less anxiety). 3. Recently, I've been very lucky to stumble upon a new business idea (omnidock.io), which I'm seriously in love with, but combining it with Ph.D. + running the design business is very tough. So, I am soon going to have to make some pretty challenging choices. That's obviously nothing chose to MRR charts which seem to be so popular these days, but truth is much more bitter 😁
@Kmaticu I am not successful yet . I hope I will be . And why would you fake your financial status 🤷
@Kmaticu Still hustling and pivoting here. Totally get what you're saying about how folks used to share loads about building in public and all the real-time updates. Planning to quit my day job next Feb to go all-in on turning my freelance gig into my main hustle.
@Kmaticu Anytime I post about my struggles or just the 'hard' side of building a product - it gets no views. If I post the opposite, I get a lot more views (commensurate to my follower count anyway)
