One day people will write tweets like this after they’ve retired from teaching rather than after the five years of joining the profession. @AccelerateTeach is going to keep them teaching beyond the first 5 years, and @CharteredColl #CTeach will keep them even teaching longer.
I often get asked if I miss teaching. I do. Massively. Especially the time spent with students in the classroom. That said, I really don’t miss the data drops, marking policies, book scrutinies, RAG sheets, and the pointless meetings discussing all of the aforementioned.
