A girls' school in Iran brought a member of the IRGC-run Basij paramilitary to speak to students. The girls welcomed the speaker by taking off their headscarves & chanting "get lost, Basiji". Teenage girls have been at the forefront of protests for days.
@KianSharifi It must be so sad for religious leaders that they can no longer tell people how to dress based on an archaic book which told them so. I feel so bad for them /s
@KianSharifi Teenage girls are the most underestimated group in the world. We mock how they dress, what they enjoy, the way they speak, but around the globe, they're out there doing what many adults don't have the courage to do.
@KianSharifi What an incredible contrast between fighting age Russian men and teenage Iranian women!!! I will never ever use the pejorative "don't act like a little girl", and will replace it by "don't act like a Russian man".
@KianSharifi These protests will only be fruitful if islamic revolution is overturned and Iran becomes a secular nation with democracy and does not work as per sharia
@KianSharifi @nicoleperlroth Sometimes you think you did something courageous, the you see videos like this and you understand what real courage is! Chapeau to those students!
@KianSharifi To the Iranian women, 🇮🇷the changemakers in Iran: 🇪🇺we support you. We support the aspirations of the Iranian people who want to live in a free, inclusive and democratic country. Actions do speak louder than words. #MashaAmini #IranProtests
