Doctors have been trained by big-pharma to focus on minimal improvements & relative risk reductions, and therefore ignore dietary changes that reverse disease.
@KenDBerryMD Yes, Ken. They are trained to treat risk factors (i.e. numbers) rather than address underlying causes and reverse disease. The treatments are invariably prescription drugs that often make things worse.
@KenDBerryMD The white lab coat is nothing more than the vestments of the priests.
No, but the effect of doctors in counseling patients to change their lifestyle is really a big disappointment. Most of the people don't want to change anything. Don't forget, they have an actual lifestyle, which is the story of a whole life. Real life experience and big words are two different things.
@KenDBerryMD I think "trained by big-pharma" is the phrase that tells us what we need to know 😮
@KenDBerryMD Many people believe that doctors know alot about the body and therefore has knowledge about weight-loss and healthy food but in reality most doctors blindly stick to health guidelines made by the food industry.
@KenDBerryMD This will be very hard to change because it’s easier for doctors and patients. Why put in real work to address your problems when you can just take more pills?

@KenDBerryMD Dr Berry, What diet would you consider adopting if you had severe dandruff/psoriasis and dry/flaky skin on your face?
@KenDBerryMD And even do harm. An example of this would be prescribing a SSRI class drug like sertraline which raises triglycerides even on a carnivore diet. When this was brought to the physician's attention they would not address it.
@KenDBerryMD There's no money to be made if people are going to start eating responsibly
