@KelseyOgletree Why not respond that you're not interested? Hard to know when something falls into an insurmountable email traffic jam or is not of interest. I know sometimes it's too much volume to engage, but often a quick 'not my beat, not interested, doesn't work for me, etc.' saves everyone
@KelseyOgletree I’d say 9, plus a phone call, then a physical letter
@KelseyOgletree I totally hear you, but it's hard to know if the pitch was read and rejected or just not seen at all. Maybe a quick "this doesn't work for me because x" would help both you and the PR person? I think most PR people really hate the follow up emails too.
@KelseyOgletree For some reason I'm marking a lot of emails as junk these days! 🤗
@KelseyOgletree I worked in celeb + non-profit pr (yes, very different worlds lol) + respect the job. But now as a lifestyle reporter/editor, I contacted a pr rep to say "have your notes saved, but kindly stop the 10+ pitches a day" (!!) He/she sent me another pitch ON THE SAME DAY! smh
