Profit? Where do you get that number? Seriously asking. For a company that had $ 12.4 billion in net profit with a $ 17.5B operating income. If it really is $ 30k profit that accounts for 0.00024%. Plus, the bar will make that gap up easy and is open year-round. Alcohol has a huge margin unlike baked goods. People who pay that premium want a premium experience. They don’t want 1000s of people in the lobby. Disney isn’t losing any significant money by doing this. Maybe a slight dip in revenue due to lower foot traffic, but will get higher guest satisfaction scores that could equal more money spent.

That could be true as well. Putting that thing up and maintaining it isn’t cheap, and whatever revenue they made from selling treats probably had a tiny impact on profits. The year-round fully stocked bar, however, prints money. However, I would venture to say that guests spending that much to stay at Grand Flo don’t love the crowds. When you pay a premium price, you want a premium experience. So they are putting things in place that don’t stop you from going, but make it less appealing and a little more hassle to do it. A lot of these moves Josh has made early on suggests this is the case. Comments he has made suggest this as well.

Am I the only one that’s ok with this simply due to how much of a disaster the lobby was when this was there LOL. Especially as a guest staying at the hotel during Christmas time it was always HELL navigating the main building when this was open 🫪

Why yes, I love to open the windows when it’s 90+ (32+) and humidity (dew point well above 70/21) with stagnant, heavy wet air. Oh, and if a breeze does blow through, it’s hot like a heater blowing right in your face. Oh these days also last for weeks not a few days here and there, but weeks. Nah I’ll keep them shut and keep the AC on.
