I would like to know why someone at the Seattle Police Missing Person's department changed the information on a missing Trans woman's NamUs entry to remove the notation that she presents as a woman, and switched her default case photo to a masculine presenting picture.
@Kaylara0wl Checked with our detective on this. After receiving one batch of photos from the family, our Det. received additional images & added them to the page. Our Det. is aware of the issue posed here and appreciates you flagging this. We're happy to say she has been located & is safe.
@SeattlePD Glad to hear she has been located and is safe. Still very concerned at the way her missing persons case was handled and hope that you'll treat future cases in a different way, as the initial NamUs profile only had one issue, and the edits added several more issues.
@SeattlePD I know that your and our goal is to find missing people safe and quickly, and believe that working together to find the best way to do that is one of the most effective strategies in these cases. :)
