Boundary Break @BoundaryBreak

People are reaching out to me saying Nintendo updated their terms to sound almost like they're targeting Boundary Break specifically (see the highlighted bit in the image). And some people want to know what i think. Im mostly just going to echo what i felt in the video i made when my New Horizons video was taken down. Which is that I TOTALLY understand the executives at Nintendos stance on this. They want to protect themselves from leaks, public ridicule, or inspiration for common people to start pirating Nintendo software. And as someone who absolutely loves Nintendo games and doesnt want to be a part of that problem, it is my ongoing mission to be conscious of the consequences a show like Boundary Break can bring and work towards a compromise that protects those concerns instead of disregarding their concerns outright. It's a hope of mine that my actions while covering Nintendo will be recognized by anyone who has to enforce these rules and that in turn im allowed to continue to work without any issues. Boundary Break is always going to be a show that focuses on praising and taking a look at the hard work developers put into their games. I never intentionally mean to harm the bottom line or integrity of any company when covering games on the show. And Im always learning more and more about what companies worry about behind the scenes to become more in tune with just making Boundary Break fun for everyone on all sides. (Its why you see a disclaimer at the start of any Boundary Break episode featuring a new Nintendo game. Im aware they internally share more concern than any other video game company) So those are my goals. I will always handle Nintendo content with special care. I would love to stay on Nintendos quiet white list of channels who can be allowed an exception to their terms. And to any employee of Nintendo reading this, I just want to be clear. Im not championing Nintendo to change their rules because i understand the dangers they can face by not having them. But I hope they can assess whos out there causing real harm and who is not before enforcing their rules. Because I like Nintendo.
