My mid high talent show included a jazz band, a jazz choir (including a couple of songs with the jazz band), and my trio with our accompanist… who was that accompanist? Jerry Dale McFadden of The Mavericks. We told him to take piano solos in our songs… he literally riffed both solos until his hands were bleeding. Love that guy so much.
