John Cornyn received roughly $1.8 million over his career from AIPAC, NORPAC, the Republican Jewish Coalition, and pro-Israel bundlers. Over that same career, Cornyn voted for more than $105 billion in aid to Israel. He never once voted against it. Ken Paxton, meanwhile, has never taken a dime from pro-Israel groups. The claim that Thomas Massie was primaried and lost because he wasn’t pro-Israel falls apart easily. I’m so glad that Thomas Massie acknowledges that Trump now has a political machine, which he didn’t have in 2020 and the reason why the election was “stolen”. Oh, so close, but misses the main point. It is not that it's just Trump's agenda. This isn't really about Trump as far as those voters are concerned. DC and the media want to make it about Trump and/or stopping Trump, but it comes across to the voters that they are trying to stop the agenda that 77 million voters voted for. The agenda is the voters' agenda. They agreed to it with their votes in Nov. Trump was very clear on what he would do once elected. The voters judged that agenda and accepted it as their own. Calling this simply Trump's agenda would be like saying the Contract with America was Newt's agenda. Those in the gop who ran congress ran on that agenda either explicitly or implicity. They promised to help Trump enact that agenda if we voted for them. The ones being defeated like Massie and Cassidy have broken their promise to the voters in their desire to stop or delay Trump and are now paying the piper for their actions.
