I haven't seen the new X-Men yet, but the idea that if cyclops didn't keep his eyes closed while being gut punched here, this guy wouldn't exist, is very poetic. A mistake like that would definitely make the X-Men look bad to the masses. So he's gotta just take the abuse.. hmm 🤔

@KAINONAUT They don’t burn, they concuss. He’d just be knocked down, maybe a few broken bones
@Txcslutch I didn't say a single thing about it burning. I said he wouldn't exist. Believe it or not, getting hit by a full speed jet will also turn a person into nothing recognizable and his concussive blasts are absolutely more powerful than a jet.
@KAINONAUT Fair! I just wanted to talk more about cyclops
@KAINONAUT @Txcslutch I prefer how this one serves as an example of what his beams can do to a body.
@KAINONAUT @Txcslutch If you remember the submarine calamity from last summer, we’ve got a really clear example of how force alone can destroy someone.
@KAINONAUT @Txcslutch I'm new here. I thought he burned ppl. You're telling me that's NOT laser vision???
@KAINONAUT @Txcslutch “If Scott opened his eyes without that visor, he could punch a hole through a mountain. I think it’s good for all of us if he has a sense of control.” Wish they’d left that line in. youtu.be/MyDhqBg8e4Y?si…
@KAINONAUT @Txcslutch He decapitated a sentinel in the first episode., definitely would’ve done worst to flesh and bone.
@KAINONAUT @Txcslutch In this cyclops is basically being used against wolverine and you can see what his eye blasts do to the mutant avenger. So yeah mans eyebeams aint just for knocking people down. I love scott summers shame death of x happened
@KAINONAUT @Txcslutch The movies weren't doing him any favours in that regard, which made it look not much worse than if he was firing with his visor on.
