@Nail82826717 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews Let's hope that Williams even sees the problem with ABC in the first place! That would be a good start.
@JosephArmand1 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews He's not deaf or blind, surely.
@Nail82826717 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews It's hard to tell yet. He may very well be happy with the changes and think it's heading in the right direction. And that compromise and appeasement and increasingly lightweight broader appeal is the way to go. He has an extensive background at News Corp, don't forget.
@JosephArmand1 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews Speers and Williams have worked for Murdoch. I wonder if it was at the same time I wonder if they got on (or not).
@Nail82826717 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews Speers was there for 20 years. Williams was there for 18 years. Sky News (Speers) began broadcasting on Foxtel (Williams). Hard to believe that their paths didn't cross at some time. And ABC Deputy Chair was both CEO of Foxtel and News Corp just like Williams. Cosy!
@JosephArmand1 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews So I must now assume that the trick is in, aided and abetted by .... Albanese, Dreyfus, Wong, Chalmers, Marles of course, but even Shorten? No Murdoch RC. They don't care that they are bagged on all MSM? No wonder Michelle is the Comms Min. What a fkn disappointment
@Nail82826717 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews This is a very timid risk-averse iteration of a Labor govt. They don't want to rock the boat on any score...whether that be foreign policy, Comms or whatever.
@JosephArmand1 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews Risk averse seems pretty stupid to me when it's to your detriment, let alone to Australia and Australians. Everyone knows Murdoch and Sky are what they are. Stand up and be counted? Wimps win? I handed out Labor HTV's in Katter's electorate. It'll be the socialists next time.
@Nail82826717 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews The time for #MurdochRoyalCommission was start of their term. Petition and 500k signatures were fresh. 3 leaders available to push case. Enough time to call RC, allow it to run, then implement findings. Labor has missed the boat...and pay for it daily.
@JosephArmand1 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews It's deliberate?? Is that a part of it?
@Nail82826717 @RayRaymejon @JohnRowsthorne @PeterCronau @abcnews Well, obviously Labor is aware of problem with bent #MSM. They are the perennial victims of it. It's just fear. They're scared of #MSM backlash. And have judged they can get by thru taking min. risks policy-wise then schmoozing.
