If it takes Ruto nearly Sh30 billion to buy one constituency and still lose, how much will he need for all 290 constituencies?

The African Development Bank has approved a Sh44.5 billion loan to support Kenya's economic reforms. The funding will back public finance reforms, MSMEs, job creation, women's economic empowerment and green growth.

UDA and ODM leaders in the BreadBased Government are getting it wrong. HE Rigathi Gachagua is clear that he has the overwhelming support of Kikuyu voters which are 8 million. He has demonstrated that fact through the first by-election. Underrating that proven fact with reference to defeats in North Eastern, Nyanza and Western Kenya is foolhardy. The fact is that without 8 million solid votes which he previously had or even half of it, President William Ruto cannot be re-elected. His plight is further aggravated by the unnecessary violence meted on the people of Ol Kalou. CS Aden Duale and all those misadvising the President to chest thump will be his biggest downfall.

Tullow Oil has received an extra Sh1.16 billion from Gulf Energy after giving up its rights to future royalties and participation in Kenya's Turkana oil project. Gulf now aims to start commercial oil production on the Turkana fields by the end of the year.

@IEBCKenya and parliament should urgently decriminalise voter bribery in Kenyan elections before the 2027 elections. Two reasons standout. First, the available empirical evidence show beyond any shadow of doubt that giving bribes to the voters in Kenya has ZERO impact on election results. Kenya voters take money and vote their conscious. Ol Kalou is clear proof. Other bye elections had the same facts in play. The Kenyan voter has no love for the politicians seeking his vote. The relationship is transactional and it is only during the election time that the two parties interact. The politician will thereafter steal for 5 years and the voter will wait for the next election cycle to get his pound of flesh. Second, in a country where the political elites steal from the public and show no mercy to them, what is wrong if the poor masses during the election period receive back money stolen from and vote for a candidate of their choice? America allows unlimited use of money to influence elections and it isnt called bribe. Corporations and trade unions following the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United v Federal Election Commission (2010) opened the floodgates of big money to influence elections. Kenya needs a legislative framework that allows third parties to give money to the voters. We need to device ingenious way to get back money stolen from the public coffers and in the hands of political elites back and into the pockets of Wanjiku and her buddies.

Kenya is becoming less attractive to investors due to high electricity costs, frequent tax changes and bureaucracy. Economists say countries like Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Egypt are attracting more investment with cheaper power, tax incentives and simpler regulations.

Today, you are praising those who abducted, detained, tortured and murdered thousands of Kenyans from 2013 to 2022. Like people without memories, you claim that those criminals are the “lesser evil!” Instead of pursuing the overhaul and transformation of the entire system which has oppressed, abused, exploited and continues to plunder the economy and commit atrocities, you have become cyber goons who are owned, paid and controlled by organized bandits. You are happy to be slaves, to be abused, exploited, degraded, tortured and killed. Although some of us have kept reminding you that the only solution is a revolution—not bandit recycling—you are too cowardly, too gullible, too naive and too zombified to remember that Uhuru Kenyatta and his bandits are the same people who looted trillions of public resources, kidnapped, detained and murdered thousands of youth between 2013 and 2022. “Who do you want us to elect?” You yell back at me. I don’t want you to elect looters, robbers, abductors and murderers. You don’t need a lesser evil. I’m telling you to take power yourself. I’m telling you to stop being a slave. I’m telling you that it’s time to liberate yourself. Why should you participate in bandit recycling when you have the power, freedom and right to take power yourself—directly? I am advising you to OVERHAUL the entire bandit system and TRANSFORM it into one which genuinely addresses your needs and aspirations. Stop chasing after organized bandits who have devised new strategies of enslaving you permanently. Nothing will change until you stop being zombified slaves! Whilst DCP was having an easy ride in Ol Kalou, Europe’s biggest countries like Spain & France quietly listed African countries whose citizens can travel to Europe visa free! Kenya was missing in all lists! They don’t trust us to travel to Europe visa free!

Yesterday's vote in Ol Kalou doesn't sugarcoat for President William Ruto the plain and transparent truth on the torturous road to 2027. It gives him a binary choice. Continue listening to the effusive and praiseful lullabies by Kiambu politicians whose support is in single digit and not beyond immediate family members, stick with Prof Kithure Kindiki and believe their false narrative that he will get 40% of the Mt. Kenya vote and know that a humiliating defeat is certain. Or act the political fox you always have been, pick a Luo or a Luhya runningmate(preferably the latter) and hit the read running. The choices are clear. And President Ruto must smell the coffee...by force.

I hear that the gunmen at the General Mathenge Road Restaurant raid were on a specific mission. They went to impound a phone with incriminating messages and images of someone important. They were taken out and the gun recovered from them after they demanded more than they contracted for. This is aggravated elephant bullshit!

NIS advised Uhuru against swearing in Muchelule to the appellate court because of his character. Ruto went ahead to swear him into office. His firearm, which is currently unlicensed, was found at a crime scene where a suspect was fatally shot. Something is wrong.
