🚨👀 The Game Responds To The Backlash Over His Loyalty To Drake & Kendrick Lamar The Game is addressing the criticism he’s been receiving for continuing to stand by people who have shown him genuine loyalty throughout his career including Drake while also opening up about his complicated relationship with Kendrick Lamar. The Game explained that he helped put Kendrick in positions he once wished someone had put him in, including taking Kendrick on tour and supporting his early career. He says he never expected anything in return. At the same time, Game says his relationship with Drake is built on the same principle: loyalty. He says Drake supported him early in his career, appeared on his albums, and has continued to look out for him and his people. 🗣️ The Game: “I don’t flip-flop with my friends.” Game also pushed back on the idea that he should change his relationships based on other people’s opinions or conflicts. He says he doesn’t want Kendrick, Top Dawg or anyone else he’s helped throughout his career to feel a way about his personal decisions because in his mind, he’s simply being consistent with the people who have been solid with him. As for The Documentary 3, Game made it clear that the album isn’t about trying to help anybody else’s career. 🔥 He says this album is about reminding everybody that he can still rap at an elite level and that nobody should play with him after more than 20 years in the game. Game also reflected on his efforts to bridge different sides of the West Coast, saying he’s spent years helping artists, connecting people and creating opportunities without necessarily signing them or asking for anything in return. And when it comes to Kendrick specifically, Game made his feelings clear: He says he helped Kendrick early on, took him on tour and showed him love but now he can’t even get Kendrick on the phone. 👀 The Game says he’s not looking for beef he just wants people to hear his side directly from him instead of letting outside narratives create tension.
