These are too high res to be wow assets but both games were made at the same time, they were art directed to look the same. Team 1 actually lead the way but wow devs weighed in.

I haven't listened to Kevin's answer, but my guess is disguises take hella animation time. WoW's entire animation team quit after vanilla shipped. Much staffing and catch-up work was needed before animators could spend time on disguises. :P

Assets went back and first as the teams worked side by side, but these textures were custom fit it looks. They could have originated on either team, but team 1 generally was ahead of team 2 in teams of art direction.

I often dislike VR stories because they're the action is low stakes, but you did a great balance between adding significance without eliminating the interesting parts of VR.

@Zarkeven Good question. No they were always going to be instanced, though Jeff K and Rob P always asked for bigger and bigger dungeons based on the EQ experience, never realizing instanced spaced needn't be so large.
