If you look closely near the end of her beak, you can see this Pileated Woodpecker is about to enjoy her favorite food, Carpenter ants 🐜

@JocAPhotography Getting close to the time of year I see a Pileated Woodpecker or two. Usually only see them for a few weeks and then they're on to wherever. A little top-heavy and wobbly it seems, but absolutely striking beauties. Something for me to look forward to seeing. Thank you.
