Something about millennials only being capable of understanding artists within the familiar framework of what they had when they were kids doesn't exactly bode well for their chances to not end up exactly like their boomer parents.

Also this isn't even that far from Avril or early Paramore. It's just a boomer mentality to assume that history will literally repeat itself and that young artists will cater to your taste and sensibilities as someone potentially 15+ years their senior.
@Joan_Atoms are we all doomed...to boom? surely not
@Joan_Atoms Honestly ... found my new girl crush
@Joan_Atoms I'm an ancient Millennial. I'm 41. I always thought Avril sucked and was just mooching off of actual punk etc... I'm not into Olivia Rodrigo's music but guess what? She's clearly massively successful and killing it out there. Good for her!
@Joan_Atoms The more women in rock n punk the better. I loved seeing it in the 90’s, love it today. Even if it’s not all my cup of tea I think women who rock are amazing.
@Joan_Atoms I guess I'm lucky in that I was 14 when Punk first hit the UK. As a result, I have spent the last 47 years enjoying anything musical that comes along that's different or innovative.
