People shitting on the new Avatar Show's art style but to me it looks like Legend of Hei which has incredible animation, and typically when the art style gets simplified like this it's in favor of exactly that.

Honestly If you don't enjoy it after Arlong park (Alabasta at a stretch) just drop it. I grew up with one piece and love it so i'm in the camp of it was enjoyable from the start. I think that we see posts like this because a signifcant amount of one piece fans think it's perfect and everyone should watch it. I disagree. I do think it's one of the greatest stories ever told but nothing is perfect, and no series is for everyone. If you don't enjoy it, there's no need to force yourself. I think part 1 of One Piece is better than part 2, so if you can't get past East Blue and the first saga of the Grand Line drop it lol.

It’s hard because I fucking love the current stuff, but when One Piece changed from 4:3 to 16:9, starting around the Davy Back Fight (Long Ring Long Land) and continuing through to Thriller Bark, I fucking loved that art style and the character designs. Sabaody through to Marineford could be inconsistent, from what I remember.

@KingOfLighting I just hope it can be even half as good as One piece live action is. I really don't want it to suck. I'm not even that picky. I like the Avatar live action. However, I have this weird feeling like this is gonna suck. I hope they prove me wrong.
