Respect for Billy Gunn, still I recall many years where fans would have chanted for him to retire. Today, he's a key part of a signature AEW act, losing him hits in the feels. It goes to show that with the right timing and booking, fans can be won over. It's cool.

@JimValley I'm so glad he got to finally have a big moment in wrestling.
@JimValley In some ways, Billy G was an early example of VKM/Roman Reigns-booking prob. Not that he was comparable or pushed that hard, but that '99 singles push where fans just didn't buy him at that level, in that role..his previous tag/faction popularity didn't translate
@JimValley For his own long-term health, I do hope that it's at least close to over - although he and the Acclaimed having the trios titles did feel like a perfect story
@JimValley AEW’s use of legends has to be some of the best (consistently) that we’ve ever seen in wrestling. They take important guys, keep them important and also use them to get other people over more.
