My letter to The Guardian today - to read follow the link below. We must give every child the opportunity to experience music. theguardian.com/music/2019/feb… @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical
@JessGillamSax @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical Great article, Jess. I couldn’t agree more!
@JessGillamSax @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical I couldn’t agree more Jess.
@JessGillamSax @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical #changethetune is the campaign being run in Scotland @JessGillansax We could use your support tes.com/news/music-les…
@JessGillamSax @johnson_helen @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical Ah. PC gone mad. In the old days, the headline would surely have been "Every Good Boy Deserves Fun".
@JessGillamSax @petergregson @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical So long as music instruction doesn't show immediate results in the #PISAStudy, on which politicians can campaign, it won't happen. The solutions, I fear, will have to be found elsewhere. #unfortunateincentives
@JessGillamSax @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical If I were in charge of education, I would insist on music being on the curriculum. Everyone can understand and benefit from it.
@JessGillamSax @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical Bravo Jess - I wholeheartedly agree with every word
@JessGillamSax @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical Spot on ! I never pursued music as a career but I've been active in music all my life and have gained so much pleasure from it. It's interesting that in industry activities such as corporate choirs and drum workshops are being used to help foster teamwork
@JessGillamSax @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical Well said, Jess! Couldn’t agree more❤️
@JessGillamSax @ArtyBagger @guardianmusic @guardian @GdnClassical Music is a critical part of all cultures. When I was a teacher I saw time & time again how this was the catalyst to giving some children a sense of self worth and thereby helping them join in with the school community. Music should be for all and not just a privileged few.
