When people ask why we struggle in @StPeteFL to get affordable units just read this over and over: "We can build more dwelling units, but we've met with the Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association [HONNA] countless times and that's not what they want,". In this case an old church in the middle of a neighborhood FULL of mixed housing on an acre of land that could house a dozen+ dwelling units will now just have….two When did this neighborhood association get elected to city council? #NIMBY stpeterising.com/home/local-dev…
@JeffreyBrandes @StPeteFL Why are we trying to build affordable housing in Old Northeast?
@PeterSchorschFL @StPeteFL We are trying to build more housing. 6-12 units is better than 2. We need housing that is affordable more than strictly “affordable housing”. I’m not saying that those 6-12 have to qualify as affordable housing.
