I poured my heart and soul into what I wrote for Pitchfork, mostly with the implicit understanding that it was one place that might last. It was positioned to do so. Everyone I knew who wrote for it felt the same.
@Jayson_Greene I've learned a lot from reading your work over the years. Not just about music, but about how to carry yourself as a writer and critic.
@Jayson_Greene Your work there is some of the best. I've taught your reviews and columns to my students numerous times. ♥️
@Jayson_Greene so bummed to have this happen so shortly after meeting you at the gecs show, but now I’m extra grateful for our brief chat. it felt surreal speaking in real life after connecting so deeply with your pieces on the site over the years. sending ❤️
@Jayson_Greene Yeah, I'm shocked. It took me years to think of p4k as the new Rolling Stone, but that's what it was. And until yesterday, I couldn't imagine p4k being diminished like this. I know there's a world of criticism beyond p4k, but nothing is positioned to replace it in the ecosystem.
@Jayson_Greene I'm trying to write a Robyn piece now and I am laboring dismally, diminutively in the shadow of your Robyn piece
@Jayson_Greene I found young thug through your overtones column about “Picacho” 🙏🙏
