The worst part about the WNBA right now is that with the limited roster spots a lot of younger players get cut for older vets.. no disrespect but this draft has a lot of talented players that are pro’s.. that are better.. but I understand the value of vets, knowing the system, and being good in the locker room.. but it’s sad. Last year so many good players got cut.. this year the same will happen
@Jay_3shifty Exactly, I said that last year with Taurasi and even Griner. No reason 41 yo DT should be taking a spot, these young fans don't even know who she is, drafted in 2004, get out. Find a coaching or development job and grow the league.
Agree. If they don’t change this the WNBA will never truly take off as many say they want it to. With so many of these college players developing and bringing large fan bases with them, the fans aren’t going to stay if the W doesn’t continue to support/develop the younger players.
They should usher in a new era. I like how it’s compact. They need different coaches with different philosophy that opens the game up more like the NBA. You have Paige Ju Ju Caitlin all coming in WNBA should be focused on their skill sets. Angel Reese should be able to be a point forward.
@Jay_3shifty they should have prioritized expanding every roster from 12 to 14 players this season while waiting on the new teams but Cathy for some reason said she doesn’t want to do that. 🙄
@Jay_3shifty Mmmm...most of these vets..were cut early on in their careers... The smart ones head to Europe to keep on playing ...and trying .. It's not about saying it on twitter...will you pay premium NBA prices to see a WNBA game?
@Jay_3shifty Instead of having a women's D-league, do they all have to leave the country to play?
@Jay_3shifty Karlie Samuelson cut by LA. MVP. Euro league
