Necropants (or nábrók) - Iceland According to the legend, sorcerers or witches would create these pants from a dead man's skin to bring themselves wealth. The process of creating necropants involved a gruesome ritual where one would have to obtain permission from a living man to use his skin after his death. Once the man died, the sorcerer would flay the skin from the corpse in one piece from the waist down. As part of the ritual, a coin stolen from a poor widow and a magical sign called a nábrókarstafur would be placed in the scrotum of the pants, which supposedly would then fill with an endless supply of money.
