I refuse to have discussions about whether our classroom doors lock or whether they open in or out, single point entry or making sure we don't prop open doors. This is all a form of victim blaming that we should not participate in. Schools are not the problem. 1/2
Politicians who make decisions that hurt children and schools are the problem. 2/2
@JasonAblin Thank you for saying this. It gives me the push I need to walk out of the next meeting where they discuss what I can do to fix the problem. Last time they told us to tell the kids to grab scissors and staplers and "stand up for themselves".
@JasonAblin @MarysGotClass Ban the guns, open the doors
@JasonAblin Schools then have to come up with solutions to these problems caused by others and spills over into the schools. Schools are being stretched thin. It’s no coincidence we have are in school so many days and for so many hours.
@JasonAblin @wesinjapan The whole propping open the door thing seems to have been a lie by the police anyway??
