🚨 OFFICIAL: Pro Ref confirm “an error of judgement” in Haaland’s goal — also informing Man United directly.
“Following the incident in the 60th minute of Sunday's Premier League fixture between Manchester United and Manchester City at Old Trafford, we can provide clarification regarding Erling Haaland’s awarded goal.
“The on-field decision was offside against Erling Haaland – that was checked by VAR and he was found to be in an onside position.
“In the same attack, it was established that Enzo Fernandez did not play the ball and therefore that makes any offside offence subjective, however, on this occasion, the VAR did not recognise the likely impact of his position and should have recommended an on-field review.
“Contact has been made with Manchester United this evening to acknowledge what we deem is an error of judgement. A review of the incident will take place.”

Nigeria is dangerously not inclusive.
I know this doctor that stammers. When he goes for interview, he sees his colleague spend up to 30 mins, but his interviews doesn't go past 5 mins. He could tell they just want to dismiss him and move to the next person.
The doctor went for his PLAB exam in England. A day was set aside for doctors with speech difficulty. They were given extra time and asked if the time would be enough for them. He passed the PLAB. In Nigeria, when he takes exam, he has to finish within the alloted time given to people without difficulty.
How do we expect perfection from people who are already with personal difficulties? We need to imbibe grace as a people.

This reminds me of an interview experience I had while hiring a social media manager.
During the Zoom interview, he mentioned that he stammered a lot. I could have continued the interview and judged him based on how well he could speak under pressure.
Instead, I told him we should end the Zoom interview. I asked my HR to create a WhatsApp group immediately and add everyone who needed to be part of the process. We continued the entire interview process through chat.
He was able to express himself properly. We asked questions, he gave his answers, we discussed his experience, and we evaluated him based on what actually mattered for the role. He got the job and he went on to do a beautiful and amazing job for years.
I’ve never regretted that decision. It taught me something I still carry as a founder....
Sometimes the problem isn’t that someone lacks the ability. The problem is that we’ve created a process that makes it difficult for them to show their ability.
If the job is about social media, don’t make speaking fluently on a Zoom call the test.
If the job is about writing, don’t make speed of verbal communication the test.
If someone has a difficulty, ask yourself:
"What is the best way for this person to show me what they can actually do?"
Good hiring is about giving capable people a fair chance to prove what they can do.
One of the most underrated Excel skills every Accountant, Financial Analyst, Auditor, or Excel user should master is keyboard shortcuts.
They save time, improve productivity, and make you look like an Excel wizard in meetings. 😎
Some of you cannot even do something as simple as changing a text format without using mouse and navigating One million steps 🥴
Here are some of my most-used Excel shortcuts:
1. Ctrl + Shift + L → Apply/Remove Filter
2. Alt + = → AutoSum selected range
3. Ctrl + ; → Insert current date
4. Ctrl + Shift + ; → Insert current time
5. F2 → Edit active cell
6. Ctrl + D → Fill Down
7. Ctrl + R → Fill Right
8. Ctrl + Arrow Key → Jump to the edge of a data range
9. Ctrl + Shift + Arrow Key → Select data to the end of the range
10. Alt + H + O + I → AutoFit Column Width
11. Ctrl + T → Convert data range to a Table
12. Ctrl + 1 → Open Format Cells dialog box
13. F4 → Repeat last action / Toggle absolute references ($)
14. Ctrl + Page Up / Page Down → Switch between worksheets
15. Alt + H + B + A → Apply all borders
16. Ctrl + Shift + $ → Apply Currency format
17. Ctrl + Shift + % → Apply Percentage format
18. Ctrl + Shift + ~ → Apply General format
19. Alt + W + F + F → Freeze Panes
20. Ctrl + E → Flash Fill (a lifesaver for cleaning and transforming data)
21. Alt + N + V → Create a PivotTable instantly
My personal favourites include:
- Ctrl + Shift + L – Filtering data in seconds.
- Ctrl + E – Flash Fill. It feels like Excel is reading your mind.
- Alt + N + V – PivotTables. Nothing summarizes thousands of rows of data faster.
As Accountants and Finance professionals, mastering shortcuts is one of the easiest ways to save hours and significantly improve efficiency.
What Excel shortcut can you no longer live without?
🚨 WHAT A STORY! 😍🇱🇹
Sabah FC have reached the Champions League for the FIRST TIME in their history — but the story of the man who took them there is incredible. 🇦🇿👏
Back in 2000, Valdas Dambrauskas was a student with ZERO experience as a professional footballer when he appeared on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”
He won enough money to travel to England and invest it in his dream: becoming a football coach.
He completed coaching courses and gained experience around Manchester United, Fulham and Brentford before taking charge of ninth-tier Kingsbury London Tigers in 2007, where he achieved some of the best results in the club’s history.
From there, he worked his way through the Baltic leagues, building his reputation step by step.
Fast forward to 2026...
🏆 Azerbaijani league champion.
🏆 Azerbaijani Cup winner.
🔥 Finished ahead of powerhouse Qarabag.
⭐ Guided Sabah into the Champions League league phase for the FIRST TIME EVER.
From using game-show winnings to fund his coaching education... To managing in the Champions League.
Football really is the beautiful game. ❤️👏

Selling off most of my crypto holding the end of last year and putting it in a MMF has been one of my best financial decisions.
Crypto prices has been on a downward trajectory since then & the Naira has outperformed the dollar by over 20%, this is aside the 17.4% MMF rate
TO MENTION A FEW ….
Bought cars for some of his grassroots coaches - and told them not to mention that he was the one who bought them.
Sponsored people he grew up with to the UK for a month, covering all their expenses while they were there.
Provides direct welfare for Kwara Kiddies League, including free jerseys for participating teams Kwara Kiddies League, player meal programs Kwara Kiddies League, and Player of the Match awards.
He always calls me months before my events and say, “Egbon, make we support your event na.” - EMPHASIS ON HIM CALLING / TEXT.
The list goes on and on… TAIWO AWONIYI is genuinely a good guy. A rare kind of person whose character speaks for itself.

The NGX rule change I posted about has been postponed.
Not cancelled, just delayed. The Exchange will announce a new date later.
When it eventually drops, high-priced stocks like Dangote Cement, Seplat Energy, Nestlé Nigeria and Airtel Africa will finally start moving with real market force instead of staying sticky.
This is still a big structural upgrade for the market.
Just not happening on Monday.
From Monday 17 August, NGX is changing how stock prices move on the Nigerian Exchange.
New rules: • Stocks ₦1,000 and above → only 10,000 shares needed to move the price
• ₦500 – ₦999 → 50,000 shares
• Below ₦500 → 100,000 shares
Previously every stock needed
Edson Barboza just walked out of the Octagon for the last time. Never wore UFC gold, but that never mattered because if Barboza was on the card, you were tuning in. Period.
15 years of wheel kicks that broke the internet, leg kicks that ended careers, and wars with an entire generation of the best strikers on the planet.
Thank you for the violence. Take a bow, legend. #UFC330
