Chess Grandmaster Anna Muzychuk refuses to play in Saudi Arabia and says: "In a few days, I will lose two world titles, back to back." Because I decided not to go to Saudi Arabia. I refuse to play by special rules, to wear abaya, to be accompanied by a man so I can leave the hotel, so I don't feel like a second class person. "I will follow my principles and not compete in the World Fast Chess and Blitz Championship where in just 5 days I could have won more money than dozens of other tournaments combined." This is all very nasty but the sad part is no one seems to care. Bitter feelings but can't go back. " —Anna Muzychuk
I'm raising money for my 5-year-old son James with Down Syndrome to get to doctors, buy diapers (he will be in diapers till 7 or 8 ), wipes, medical supplies, and to explore the world. He needs 24/7 care and I am his caretaker. ❤️gofund.me/fafc5597 gofund.me/fafc5597
@JamesTate121 How come Melania and Ivanka never had to while there?
@JamesTate121 @SanteenaR I'm not advocating for Saudi Arabia, but the truth is there is no requirement to be with a man or wear an Abaya or hijab in public Not sure why someone is posting false content or that people blindly accept lies as facts from strangers Let's try some critical thought
@JamesTate121 Uhhh…..this “news” is over 6 years old. The tournament took place in December 2017. So either you have very slow WIFI or a certain agenda…..
@JamesTate121 Is this how democrats raise campaign money?
@CherylKagan is obviously pleased that this female grandmaster chess player refused to play in Saudi Arabia because she’d have to wear a and be accompanied by a man. Yet she supports Martin Rothblatt’s performing womanhood and promoting an ideology to deconstruct the boundary between males and females. This seems quite at odds. What do you think? 1/
@JamesTate121 Is she refusing to play in the 1970s? I work in Saudi Arabia and see women not wearing abayas and unaccompanied by men all the time at malls, the airports, and local shops and events. 🤔
