I have yet to see a logical answer: Sonogram at month 6 of pregnancy shows unborn child is male. What do you call the “sex assigned at birth” when there’s been no birth?
@JamesCantorPhD They can't always tell from the sonogram. Also they can't always tell at birth it's not as simple or straight forward as you think
@JamesCantorPhD @buttonslives Sonogram shows a distinct biological organism, a specimen of Homo sapiens. Still, too many people cannot see the human being.
@JamesCantorPhD I was an older mom, so I had chorionic villi biopsy and got a karyotype at less than 12 weeks! It involved a massive needle going through my abdominal wall with no anesthesia because of course women don't need it, apparently.
@JamesCantorPhD “sex assigned at birth” = bonkerology “immutable sex assigned at conception” = scientific fact
@JamesCantorPhD You can also get a simple blood test at 12 weeks to tell you no need to wait for the sonogram anymore!
@JamesCantorPhD We observed both our daughters' sex at the 19 week scan. This 'assigned sex at birth' bollocks is just that.
