I doubt the show is playing up the idea that it seems like no one is really in contact with him. He just seems to have walked away from it and cut ties. Just my perspective of course.

Everyone misses Billy and while we miss stugotz, feels like he abandoned his family for his own fame. To break something like this up over whatever petty grievances were there is incredibly ridiculous. Won't even listen to his new show.
