Trauma makes you tolerate a lot of shit because you don't want to lose people. Healing makes you realize that some people don't belong in your life no matter how much you love them.

@JacklenaB When the trauma bond is between siblings and parents it's hard to let lose. The moral conduct and ethics installed since birth and the societal stereotypes are hard to break. At some point to let lose seems to be a sin which god doesn't forgive. Waiting for a miracle to happen.
@JacklenaB It depends on the protective mechanism that is triggered by experiencing trauma; some people will isolate themselves and not tolerate anything and even push away people who would be supportive and nurturing. Trauma can trigger both extremes of boundary imbalances.
