@JRCSouthSudan and @undpsouthsudan held a meeting with the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional affairs to discuss plans on the validation and presentation of the JRC final report and recommendations to the RTGoNU.
@JRCSouthSudan was honoured to hear the views of the Chief Justice and the Deputy Chief Justice on reforming the Judiciary of South Sudan. " You are the heart of the Judiciary and your views will greatly enrich our final report," said Justice James Ogoola, Chair,JRC.
@JRCSouthSudan met the Chief Justice and the Minister of Justuce and Constitutional affairs to give an update on the progress of the committee. Justice James Ogoola, Chair of the JRC, said the committee was drafting the report to the RTGONU and consulting the top policy makers.
Following consultations with 865 individuals across 5 states, the Ad Hoc Judicial Reforms Committee is now synthesizing the views into a comprehensive report. The report will propose recommendations for establishing an independent judiciary and a robust judicial process in 🇸🇸.
