Look, I get it. Florida’s social-media ban for kids feels similar to banning books. But is it? The books some self-appointed reading police would like to remove from our libraries and schools were carefully selected by folks with expertise and training — librarians and teachers. Banning them after expert approval is clear overreach. But who curates social media or filters what our children see on it? No one. We have laws denying minors access to casinos, forbidding them to drink, keeping them from driving until they’re 16… Why shouldn’t we protect them from social media, too?
@JP_Books Stop reading books, noo, not in schools,I used to volunteer in the school my kids went to,to help them with reading,( not since COVID tho) its very important, and rewarding ( I still work in the school)
@JP_Books As good a place as any...Mr. Patterson, "The Day America Told the Truth" is old. Isn't it time to produce "The Day America Told the Truth 2"?
@JP_Books this will not stop anything...they need to make phone companies make a childrens phone that only downloads child approved IP addresses.......adult phones would be able to download all sites...simple...tamper proof
