Are the Red Wings on track for Cup contention in the next five years?
@JFreshHockey Are the penguins on track to win a cup in the next 5 years?
@JFreshHockey Getting unlucky and not landing a legit superstar screwed them imo. I think the leagues in a better place when all the storied franchises are doing well so hopefully they are back in the playoffs soon
@JFreshHockey No, not at all. They don't have that top end , elite guy. They have a lot of older vets on 1 year deals. Their prospect pool is good, but again, not elite top end talent. I just don't see it.
@JFreshHockey Negative. A few 2nd round appearances. Maybe 1 ECF trip.
@JFreshHockey Feels like Yzerman jumped the gun in free agency. Chiarot holl copp compher are the kind of adds you make when you're ready to contend.
@JFreshHockey Just not enough elite talent. Larkin is one, they're Ristolainen'ing Seider and if both Edvinsson/Raymond hit, maybe they have a small chance
@JFreshHockey Not seeing that game breaking top 10 in the NHL type player that's often needed to win a cup nor a ridiculous amount of young depth that could make a run. I do see them as a perennial playoff team though that might get there if someone becomes that player.
